SAW

On the Island of Bali there is a shortage of cut lumber, and while Iwayan was on a beach he came up with the idea making boxes for shipping and then designed a lumber saw for cutting logs. The design was based on a small hand saw. A cousin then copied the design using second hand parts and came up with a working saw for about $200.

Later an improved version was made and assembled and the lumber company eventually became a profitable business. Unfortently for Iwayan he was dealt out of the business as he had no financial capital.
