Mamasa

The man in this photograph told me his grandfather had given him several stones the size of pebbles and thad his grandfather taught him how to use them supernaturally. He said that the stones had several magick properties of which he could with the powers turn his body into super strong and that a knife could not cut him. He could make a person loose control of his body and become stiff and paralyzed, and he could heal, and also could make his skin slippery so that nobody could hold onto him. He spoke in a rather serious and quiet tone and did not really look at me, just answered the questions that I had given to my guide who spoke Indonesian,

After wards my guide told me that he had seen the magick man with a knife in the town before and he (the guide) had tried to cut him with the knife and was unable to. Another interesting story from my guide (who was local about 18) was the story of a pig. Locals would go into the jungle with a pig and when they wanted to leave the jungle they would give the pig some “medecine” under the pigs skin. The pig then would be able to lead the owner safely out of the jungle.
