Health Notes
HEALTH NOTE
Most Americans are deficient in three elements: zinc, copper, and chromium.
Zinc
Many people drink alcohol. After drinking an ounce or two of alcohol, about half of the functional zinc in your body is eliminated.
Zinc is needed in the male sex organ, and 58% of the zinc in males is used to maintain the prostate gland.
In the liver, zinc helps synthesize and store vitamins such as vitamin A. Zinc also enables the pancreas to produce insulin.
The hippocampus directs neurons to other parts of the brain and uses 17 percent of your zinc, while the pineal gland uses another 17-19 percent.
Copper
Copper is an anti-arthritic (treats arthritis) and is considered a form of crystallized sunlight.
Copper activates the iron in the hemoglobin of red blood cells, enabling it to release oxygen. It also conducts heat and energy through the body. It activates the liver to release glycogen (Glycogen is essential for helping regulate your blood sugar levels and providing energy for exercise).
Can’t find or remember what you are looking for? Short-term memory is affected because the brain cannot operate correctly without glucose and oxygen. People deficient in copper need their heart to beat harder to get more blood, glycogen, and oxygen to the brain and the rest of the body.
Among other symptoms, a person may experience with a copper deficiency are heart palpitations and hyperventilation. Heart palpitations are also a common symptom of atrial fibrillation (AFib), indicating a relationship between copper and AFib.
Almonds and cashews hold substantial amounts of copper.
Chromium
Chromium stimulates the production of fatty acids and is used by the pancreas as the active ingredient in the glucose tolerance factor, which affects insulin production.
Chromium also aids in synthesizing cholesterol, which prevents cholesterol from loitering in the arteries, especially in the aorta.
Dietary chromium absorption is low because the body only absorbs a very small percentage of (dietary) chromium from the intestines, which puts people at risk of being deficient in this element.
Brewer’s yeast supplies a high source of chromium. Shellfish is another source.
The brain and the rest of the body need chromium, and without sufficient chromium, even a person who does not eat meat will have blocked arteries.
Blocked arteries lead to a deficiency of functional
cholesterol.
Meat can cause hypoglycemia (a condition where the blood glucose level falls below normal) because digesting it impairs the element chromium. For most people, a diet of animal protein, especially meat, is detrimental to their health.
Cholesterol can be thought of as bricks
Cholesterol can be thought of as bricks. If you don’t use the bricks, the body stacks them along the walls of the arteries.
Lecithin emulsifies cholesterol and prevents it from collecting on the walls of arteries.
Cayenne Pepper has the capacity to break down hardened cholesterol and soaplike fatty substances. It also acts as a blood pressure regulator.
Pumpkin Seeds are a high source of zinc
Vegetarian Foods High in copper include legumes, whole grains, and nuts and seeds, especially cashews and sunflower seeds.
Red meat can cause arteriosclerosis because of the high
level of low-density cholesterol that it causes in the body.

If meat is not entirely digested, the result is toxicity.
Generally, a person should not eat over 1-1.4 oz of meat protein per day.
Red Meat has more cholesterol than it has chromium to synthesize it. The consumption of meat is seen as a risk factor for arteriosclerosis.
