The Neka Museum in Ubud, Bali has an incredible display of Kris Knifes
The Kris is made so well it can balance with just a little support on the tip of the blade. The Kris maker in Klung Kung, Bali (above photo) is well known as a highly skilled craftsman. He also made the kris below.

This particular Kris displayed at the Neka Museum was made in the 13th C. and the. blade marks were formed by the makers thumb while I assume, was in some sort of trance.
