Pin

 A friend of mine were invited for a trip to a southern Thailand Beach.

Brian and his wife declined the invitation as it was too far a trip for such a short period of time.  It so happens that the wife’s brother is a top monk in Chiang Mai, and he had suggested strongly that the family not make the trip as the weather was bad, though in the end the family made the trip to the beach. 

At the beach three members of the family got into trouble as the ocean pulled them out to sea. An America doctor happened to be in the area at the time and he performed CPR on two of the family members saving their lives but the third person, a young girl died.

The family members returned to Chiang Mai and soon after a funeral, and wake made arrangements to see a lady in Doi Sacket area who is well known in the area for her ability of contacting and establishing a conversation with deceased people. 

The lady, when the family members went to her home to meet with her, described in full detail the episode of the girls drowning.  She described how the girl had eaten something before swimming in the ocean, and the ocean pulled her out and she started to drown. Then a ghost or mermaid type being while she was drowning and underwater smashed her head on a rock.  Later the drowned girl returned as a butterfly to the house of the family at the time of the wake party and one of the children chased the white butterfly around and broke its leg. She also wanted to say that the flowers that two of the other children made for her at the wake where beautiful.

It turns out all this happened – the girl that died had a smashed head, and had eaten something as was described by the Doi Sacket lady. At a gathering after the death two children had made a flower arrangement and also a white butterfly had entered the room and the child had done as described, chased the butterfly around and accidently broke its leg!

When I heard this story I thought immediately that the lady most likely lived near Ton, and it turned out she lived just seven kilometers from him.

I went to visit her to find out more information about her life. 

Pin is the women’s name and when she was nine years old she had become sick and started to act abnormal and crazy. She was taken to a hospital and over a year’s time of visits to the hospital the doctors could not figure out what her problem was and their treatments did not work, though finaly she gradually got better.  Pin then discovered she had a strong sixth sense and also was in tough with a ghost in her body. She was able to go into a trance and get in touch with her ghost who in return could contact dead people. 

Pin is 56 now and at 35 she went public with her ghost talents, making a career of going into a trance state and contacting the ghost. The ghost could then find out what happened to any particular person that had died and while Pin was in a trances state she would recite the individual story . 

I found her to be a charming lady and looked very young for her age.  I had asked to photographer and she said it was alright and when I interviewed her she told me a westerner had once come to her home and photographed her without  asking permission and when the westerner went to get the image from the camera all the photos were blank!
