The Petronas Towers are interlinked twin towers that stand 88 floors and 452 metres tall.
With 88 floors of reinforced concrete and a steel façade, glass, and aluminum, it features a total of 32,000 windows.
The floor plan of each Petronas Twin Tower is based on the Rub el Hizb, an Islamic geometric symbol that consists of two overlapping squares rotated 45 degrees to form an eight-pointed star. The symbol is interpreted architecturally to represent Islamic principles of unity, harmony, and stability.
Tube structure. High-strength concrete. Exterior frame forms a hollow “tube” that acts as a counter level. Building moves with the wind .
