This particular liver flush comes from Jack Schwarz’s “It’s not what you eat but what eats you” book. ‘The reciepe is molasses, cayenne, olive oil, lemon juice, olive oil and warm water.

The liver, is on our right side primarily but extends in an area bellow the heart and above part of the stomach. The functions of the liver are many and it is said that there are over 500 important functions of this organ but the liver's main job is to filter the blood coming from the digestive tract, before passing it to the rest of the body.

The liver requires the nutrients: sodium, chlorine, potassium and magnesium.

The paired organ of the liver is the gallbladder. In Chinese medicine the liver is said to be connected to the eyes and also controls the tendons.

The liver flush that is mentioned in “It’s not what you eat but what eats you” gives this directions for assisting in cleaning the liver:

Mix 1/2 cup of warm water with juice of one lemon, one tablespoon

of molasses, one teaspoon of olive oil and dash of cayenne pepper. Drink all at once.

Last night I received an e-mail that Lois, Jacks Schwarz’s partner and wife passed away July 8, 2020 I dedicate this blog post to her. A very brave, and powerful women.
