LINK ON A CHAIN

In Chiang Mai at the Old Cultural Center Hmong perform a folk dance that involves locking their legs together to form a link and unity of its people and culture.

The performances and folk dances initially seem somewhat simplistic in someways.The reality is cultures of many of the hill tribes in Asia are quite complex and are animistic in nature. Often people from Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Indonesia share many similar characteristics in their cultures. Without culture you have no idenity.
