Atlas Moth
The image displays an Atlas moth (Attacus atlas), recognized as one of the largest moths in the world in terms of wingspan and total wing surface area.
Size: They can have a wingspan reaching 10-12 inches, roughly equivalent to the size of two human palms placed side by side.
Appearance: They have distinct feathery, comb-like antennae and a red body.
Camouflage: The wing patterns are believed to resemble a cobra snake to deter predators.
Lifespan: As adults, they lack mouthparts and cannot eat, living for only about 5-7 days after emerging from their cocoon.
